CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES


CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 

INGREDIENTS 

Flour - 1 1/2 cups 
Butter - 1/2 cup
Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup
Granulated White Sugar - 1/2 cup 
Baking Soda - 1/2 Tsp
Vanilla Essence - 1 Tsp 
Chocolate Chips - 1/2 cup
Egg - 1 

METHOD 

Preheat oven to 180*C for 15 minutes 
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper 
Melt the butter and add the sugars 
Mix until well combined and cool for a minute 
Add the egg and vanilla essence. 
Whisk until combined. 
Add baking soda to the flour and sift 
Add the chocolate chips to the dry ingredients 
Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients 
With an ice cream scoop take equal portions from the dough 
Place in the lined baking sheet with some space in between 
Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven 
Cool on a wire rack and enjoy 
Makes 12 cookies

Notes:
If you find the dough to be soft cover with cling film and refrigerate for 10 minutes or more until firm before placing in the baking sheet
