KARUMBU JUICE PONGAL


KARUMBU JUICE PONGAL 

INGREDIENTS 

Raw Rice - 1 cup
Split Moong Dal - 1/2 cup
Karumbu Juice - 3 cups
Sugar or Sugar Candy - As Required 
Fried Cashews - 15
Ghee - 4 Tbsps 

METHOD 

Roast split moong dal 
Clean wash rice and pressure cook along with moong dal until soft in Karumbu juice
Add sugar candy or sugar as required and mash rice with a ladle 
Add ghee and keep stirring for awhile 
Add cardamom powder and fried cashews
Mix well and cook for a few minutes in low flame and serve 

Notes:

Karumbu juice is Sugarcane juice
Add sugar or sugar candy only if necessary 
Adjust sweetness to suit your taste
