BASIC BUTTER CAKE
INGREDIENTS
Maida - 1 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Eggs - 5
Butter - 250 gm
Milk - 75 ml
Baking Powder - 1 Tsp
Vanilla Essence - 1 1/2 Tsps
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180* C for 20 minutes
Sift dry ingredients
To softened butter add sugar and beat till fluffy
Add eggs one at a time to this mixture and beat well
Add in the vanilla essence and mix well.
Add in sifted dry ingredients to the cake batter alternately with milk
Fold in with a spatula
Line and prepare a cake tin
Pour in cake batter and tap cake tin a few times
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 - 50 minutes
Notes:
Timing might vary with different brands of ovens available in the market
