MAMBAZHAM PULISSERI



MAMBAZHAM PULISSERI

INGREDIENTS 

Mangoes - 3
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp 
Thick Curd - 1 cup
Coconut Oil - 3 Tbsps 
Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp 
Fenugreek Seeds - 1/2 Tsp 
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs 
Dry Red Chillies - 3
Salt - To Taste

INGREDIENTS TO GRIND 

Grated Coconut - 
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 Tsp 
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp 
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tsp 
Green Chillies - 2
Salt - To Taste

Grind the above ingredients to a coarse paste 

METHOD 

Peel the skin of the mangoes and cook until soft adding turmeric powder salt and enough water in a pan
Add the ground paste to the cooked mangoes
Lightly mash one mango if liked
Whisk curd and add to the pan little at at time and stir to avoid curdling 
Mix well and simmer for a few minutes until well combined 
In another pan add coconut oil and temper mustard seeds fenugreek seeds curry leaves and dry red chillies 
Pour tempered ingredients along with the oil over the pulisseri

Notes:

Adjust spices to suit your taste 
The mangoes I used were sweet so I didn’t add sugar
If the mangoes you use are sour then you can add some sugar 
Colour of the mangoes vary with the different varieties
