WHOLE WHEAT BREAD


WHOLE WHEAT BREAD 

INGREDIENTS 

Wheat Flour - 4 cups 
Active Dry Yeast - 2 Tsps
Sugar - 2 Tbsps 
Warm Water - 1/2 cup 
Melted Butter - As Required 
Water - As Required 
Salt - To Taste
Oil - 2 Tbsps 

METHOD 

To warm water add active dry yeast and sugar
Mix set aside for a few minutes until risen
Add this to the flour and mix 
Add salt to taste enough water and knead to a smooth dough 
Smear oil on top knead and place the dough in a greased bowl 
Cover bowl with a cling film and set aside for an hour
On a floured board place the dough knead again 
Keep dough in a greased bowl cover with cling film and rest dough for thirty minutes 
Shape dough into a rectangle almost the size of the loaf pan 
Place it in the greased loaf pan cover pan with cling film and rest dough for 30 minutes 
Meanwhile preheat oven to 200*C for 15 minutes 
Brush the top with a mixture of milk and oil or melted butter 
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 - 30 minutes until the top is golden 
Brush bread with some melted butter cool for approximately 3 hours before slicing
