RICE FLAKES KHEER


RICE FLAKES KHEER

INGREDIENTS 

Rice Flakes - 1 cup
Milk - 4 cups
Condensed Milk - 1 cup
Almond Meal - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 2 Tbsp
Almonds - 5
Raisins - 1/4 cup
Cashews - 5
Sugar - 3 Tbsps 
Cardamom Powder - 2 Tsp

METHOD 

Chop cashews and slice the almonds 
Heat ghee in a pan add the raisins cashews and almonds and fry separately 
To the same pan add the rice flakes and roast till the colour changes and it’s brittle
Heat milk in another pan
Once it starts to boil add in the rice flakes and almond meal
Cook till the mixture is semi solid and the rice flakes are soft
Add in the sugar and condensed milk, mix till it’s dissolved completely 
Add in the cardamom powder and 3/4th of the fried raisins cashews and almonds 
Serve warm or chilled garnished in individual bowls with the remaining fried almonds cashews and raisins 

Notes :
Adjust the sweetness to suit your palate
Adding sugar is optional 
To prepare almond meal
Grind 1/2 cup of almonds with or without skin in a mixer blitzing at regular intervals
