SPONGE CAKE

SPONGE CAKE 

INGREDIENTS 

Maida - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Eggs - 3
Baking Powder - 1/4 Tsp 
Vanilla Essence - 1 Tsp

METHOD 

Preheat oven to 180*C for 15 minutes 
Line and prepare a cake tin
Sift dry ingredients 
Powder granulated sugar 
Whisk eggs with powdered sugar
Once sugar dissolves add vanilla essence 
Fold in the dry ingredients in small batches 
Pour in the cake batter into the prepared tin
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 - 30 minutes 

Notes 
Double the amount for larger cakes
Timings might vary with different ovens
